Beijing Daxing International Airport Project

Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) is one of the world’s largest and most advanced aviation hubs, located in Daxing District of Beijing. Built to relieve the pressure on Beijing Capital International Airport and enhance the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei transportation network, it officially opened in September 2019.

Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the airport features a unique “phoenix-shaped” terminal with a central hub and six curved concourses extending outward. Covering about 700,000 square meters, it is one of the largest single-terminal airport buildings in the world. The innovative design improves passenger flow, shortens walking distances, and integrates natural lighting with smart technologies such as facial recognition, automated baggage systems, and intelligent navigation.

With a long-term capacity of over 100 million passengers annually, Beijing Daxing International Airport combines advanced architecture, sustainable design, and modern transportation systems. It represents a landmark achievement in engineering and serves as a world-class gateway connecting Beijing with global destinations.

As a key infrastructure supplier for Beijing Daxing International Airport, our company provided 50,000 meters of Krah pipes and 500,000 meters of MPP power pipes to support the airport’s drainage and underground power transmission systems.

The Krah pipe system was selected for its excellent structural strength, hydraulic performance, durability, and adaptability, making it an ideal solution for large-scale airport infrastructure. With a lightweight yet high-strength structure, Krah pipes enable efficient transportation and installation while reducing construction challenges. Their smooth inner wall provides excellent hydraulic efficiency, minimizing flow resistance and ensuring reliable long-term drainage performance. In addition, the corrosion resistance and service life of more than 50 years ensure stable operation under complex underground conditions.

For a landmark project like Beijing Daxing International Airport, where reliability, safety, and sustainability are essential, our Krah pipe solutions provide a durable and environmentally friendly drainage system. Together with MPP power pipes, our products contribute to the airport’s efficient underground infrastructure network, supporting the operation of one of the world’s most advanced aviation hubs.
