Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) is one of the world’s largest and most advanced aviation hubs, located in Daxing District of Beijing. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the airport features a unique “phoenix-shaped” terminal with a central hub and six curved concourses extending outward. Covering about 700,000 square meters, it is one of the largest single-terminal airport buildings in the world. The innovative design improves passenger flow, shortens walking distances, and integrates natural lighting with smart technologies such as facial recognition, automated baggage systems, and intelligent navigation.
